Summary

The Resettlement Coordinator position at CAMBA is responsible for marketing the organization's services in the community, assessing client needs, and assisting clients to navigate various programs with the goal of job placement and retention. The coordinator also develops new outreach methods and strategies to persuade clients to participate fully in their education/employment goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A., B.S.W.) and/or equivalent experience
  • Bilingual - Haitian Creole, Spanish, Mandarin
  • Ability and enthusiasm to initiate contact and engage with the community to market the program through in person and remote meetings, social media and online platforms
  • Digital fluency and demonstrated experience with outreach through social media
  • Ability to adapt approach to meet the varied needs of job seekers and community partners, including in person meetings and the use of Zoom and other online platforms and resources on camera
  • Ability to multi-task and to work a flexible or alternative workweek schedule if needed

Responsibilities

  • Act as a marketer and ambassador of CAMBA’s services in the community with the goal of client recruitment
  • Assist clients in eliminating barriers to education/employment by assessing their aspirations and strengths
  • Develop new materials and methods of outreach in response to changing program and client needs
  • Recommend and implement strategies to persuade clients to participate to the fullest extent in their education/employment placement and retention goals
  • Conduct initial intake and assessment of clients and/or clients’ families’ situations and needs
  • Monitor clients’ progress toward their goals and maintain accurate, complete narrative documentation of client progress
  • Advise clients regarding realistic career/employment goals and the education/training necessary to attain them
  • Facilitate clients’ development of such skills as problem-solving, decision-making, etc
  • Develop strategies with clients regarding how to break through barriers to their goals
  • Work collaboratively with a team of instructors and job developers
