Summary
Join Precision for Medicine as a (Snr) Resource Manager and help manage and optimize the organizationโs resources, delivering resource management support to the business. Contribute to resourcing strategy, assist with budgeting and forecasting, and execute all staffing processes. Oversee global resource allocation, optimize utilization across business units, and work with senior leadership to understand key resource requirements. Focus on staff development and advancement, evaluate resource optimization opportunities, and advise project teams on resource management. Contribute to budgeting and forecasting, coordinate hiring with HR and Finance, prepare reports on resourcing activities, negotiate staffing conflicts, and escalate high-risk situations. This fully home-based UK position offers a chance to make a significant impact on a growing precision medicine CRO.
Requirements
- 4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a scientific or healthcare discipline
- Proven experience managing resources within a Clinical Research Organisation (CRO)
- Ability to manage workforce allocations for both full time and contractor resources
- Supervisory experience and ability to manage Business Operations Associates
- Ability to drive and availability for domestic and occasional international travel including overnight stays
- Possesses strong organizational/written communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Appropriate financial acumen and understanding of budgets, forecasting, utilization and realization concepts
- Creative and flexible problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Executes time-sensitive matters while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
- Exhibits high self-motivation, and is able to work and plan independently as well as in a team environment
- Demonstrates a high degree of professionalism

Responsibilities
- Oversee the allocation and assignment of global resources (both full time and contractor staff) to the appropriate projects, placing the right people in the right positions to ensure project success, across the PFMORD enterprise
- Optimize utilization across the business units by making staffing recommendations and decisions in support of a deployment strategy
- Work with senior leadership to understand key resource requirements and ensure the development of resourcing strategies to meet both current and future organizational needs
- Focus on developmental opportunities for staff and plans for staff advancement
- Evaluates opportunities for resource optimization and enhancement using specific tracking tools and integration into the company ERP system
- Advise project teams and financial analysts on how to best navigate and employ the resource management process and provide recommendations to improve business performance
- Contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities on an ongoing and annualized basis to maximize value for the company
- Coordinate hiring plan execution with Human Resources and Finance to ensure appropriately prioritized hiring
- Prepare metrics and summary reports on resourcing activities as necessary
- Negotiate and resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties and identify creative alternatives to address identified issues
- Escalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to the Business Operations leadership and Executive Team as necessary
- Other duties as assigned
