Summary
Join Darkroom, a rapidly growing marketing agency, as their Retention Marketing Manager! This fully remote role, open to candidates in Spain, Mexico, Portugal, and Brazil, requires 5+ years of digital marketing experience. You will lead a team, develop email and SMS campaigns, manage projects, analyze data, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to boost client revenue and retention. You'll leverage platforms like Klaviyo and Shopify, creating engaging customer journeys and loyalty programs. Requirements
- 5+ years of work experience in digital marketing
- Experience working in Klaviyo (or similar ESPs) including list segmentation, lifecycle drip automation, and triggered events
- Knowledge of Shopify and its tech stack options such as Privy, JustUno, Yotpo, Octane AI, etc
- Developed SMS strategies and have experience working with SMS platforms such as Attentive, PostScript, SMSBump, or Klaviyo
- Ability to make data-driven decisions and excel at turning analytics into actionable SMS and email strategies that drive client revenue
- At least one direct report before OR exceptional leadership skills working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills, plus the ability to clearly articulate and express complex and sometimes technical ideas to a wide variety of people and groups at any level
Responsibilities
- Develop strategic campaign calendars and prioritize projects and initiatives designed to scale your clientsโ email and SMS programs
- Provide support and guidance to help Retention Associates analyze data, develop winning retention strategies, and create reports for client's happiness
- Project manage and delegate client tasks to your team, consisting of both retention specialists and designers. Review all client briefs and designs for approval before they are sent to the client
- Assign segmentation and QA email and SMS campaigns ensuring flawless delivery to customer audiences
- Coordinate cross-departmentally with the Performance Marketing and Strategy teams to develop cohesive and creative campaigns that drive client growth
- Report on strategic KPIs for clients, creating insights and actionable recommendations to grow client retention engagement and revenue
- Execute automation/flow logic set-up, pop-up builds, and app integrations

- Passion for e-commerce and digital marketing
- Immersion in the world of direct-to-consumer growth marketing
- Ability to creatively message the value propositions of any brandโs product catalog to create email and SMS campaigns that customers find to be engaging, informative, and persuasive
- Passion for developing creative customer journeys and loyalty programs that drive loyalty and lifetime value
- Used to working in a fast-paced environment and can project manage multiple tasks at once for yourself, your team, and your clients
