Summary

Join Fleetio as a Revenue Accountant and take ownership of billing, collections, and revenue processes for Fleetio’s Marketplace and Auto Integrate. This critical role ensures financial accuracy, contract compliance, and third-party reconciliation, supporting international expansion into Canada. You will contribute to special projects, shape evolving processes, and collaborate with internal and external teams. This unique opportunity offers comprehensive understanding of both Auto Integrate’s and Fleetio’s operations, playing a key role in driving scalable, accurate revenue operations globally. Fleetio is a rapidly growing company in the transportation technology market, having recently raised $450M in Series D funding.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in public/private accounting
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (or relevant SaaS experience)
  • Experience with revenue recognition (ASC 606)
  • Familiarity with international or multi-currency accounting (CAD)
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
  • Proven success in managing recurring accounting duties
  • Ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions, and implement changes collaboratively
  • Technologically savvy and comfortable using various software/tools
  • Highly motivated and ambitious
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Well-organized, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Background check required

Responsibilities

  • Own the monthly billing cycle for Auto Integrate and Fleetio’s Marketplace, ensuring invoices are issued accurately and on time
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external customers to ensure accuracy in Auto Integrate’s customer accounts and resolve any billing discrepancies
  • Reconcile Shop Network transactions and payments received via third-party financing from Corporate Billing
  • Calculate and manage partner revenue share payments related to Shop Network transactions
  • Ensure revenue is accurately recognized in accordance with ASC 606 and marketplace-specific terms
  • Support CAD billing operations and collaborate with legal and tax teams to ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations
  • Help define and continuously improve billing and reconciliation processes as the Marketplace and Auto Integrate operations scale
  • Participate in cross-functional projects including systems integration, automation, and acquisition support
  • Provide backup coverage for Fleetio’s customer and partner billing functions, answering billing-related questions as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Asana, NetSuite, ZoneBilling, SalesForce, and Sage
