Summary

Join Spring Health, a leading mental healthcare provider, as a Payment Posting - Revenue Cycle Specialist! Reporting to the Revenue Cycle Lead, you will ensure accurate payment posting, mentor team members, and implement process improvements. You will manage refunds and adjustments, monitor KPIs, and minimize manual adjustments to improve efficiency and cash flow. This full-time, fully remote position requires a high school diploma or GED, at least two years of healthcare experience in a similar role, and familiarity with behavioral health. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • At least two (2) years of experience in the healthcare field in a similar position
  • Familiarity and experience working in the behavioral health field
  • Comfortable in amorphous environments with constantly evolving job responsibilities
  • Tech-savvy with a strong ability to adapt to new technologies and platforms efficiently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and manage context switching effectively

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all payments are posted with high accuracy, maintaining financial integrity and minimizing discrepancies
  • Consistently post a high volume of payments each month, ensuring that productivity targets are met or exceeded
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of all posted payments to ensure they are accurate and fully accounted for, reducing the risk of financial discrepancies
  • Efficiently identify and process refunds and adjustments to prevent aged credit balance invoices, ensuring timely financial corrections
  • Regularly track and report on the achievement of KPIs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to meet performance targets
  • Take responsibility for identifying and processing refunds and adjustments proactively to prevent aged credit balance invoices, ensuring timely and accurate financial management
  • Work collaboratively with your peers, sharing knowledge and best practices to contribute to the overall success of the team

  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrate a high level of accuracy in payment posting to ensure financial integrity and reduce errors
  • Actively work to reduce the error rate in payment postings by adhering to best practices and implementing quality checks
  • Strive to minimize the need for manual payment adjustments by improving the accuracy of initial postings and using available tools effectively
  • Increase the use of ERA in payment posting processes to streamline operations and improve overall efficiency
  • Take initiative in identifying issues within the payment posting process and develop innovative solutions to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Actively engage in continuous learning opportunities, such as Recharge Hours, Electives, and LinkedIn Learning, to enhance your skills and stay updated on best practices in revenue cycle management
  • Be adaptable to changes in processes and KPIs, and take initiative to meet evolving departmental goals
  • Consistently meet or exceed the updated KPIs, demonstrating a strong commitment to achieving the department’s performance targets
  • Maintain clear and open communication with team members and other departments to ensure smooth operations and timely issue resolution
  • Actively participate in and contribute to process improvement initiatives that enhance overall department efficiency and accuracy
  • Utilize technology tools like Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) effectively to streamline payment posting processes and improve efficiency
