Summary

The job is for a Sales Manager role at Luxfer MEL Technologies focusing on the Catalysis area. The main purpose is to manage US accounts, grow sales volume, develop relationships with customers, and participate in innovation product portfolio. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Science or Chemistry or a Technical Degree, experience in either sales, R&D, or technical roles within the Chemical Industry, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Requirements

  • Must have the ability to use own initiative, prioritize tasks and work well under pressure, and be driven by achievement
  • Must show insight and strategic focus, and a high level of attention to detail
  • Time Management and leadership skills
  • Professional approach to work and in dealing with internal and external customers
  • Team player who demonstrates a high level of commitment, adopts a flexible and positive approach
  • Must have the ability to work unsupervised with good time management skills in order to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, pressurized and challenging environment
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Chemistry or a Technical Degree
  • Experience in either sales, R&D, technical in Chemical Industry
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience of using MS Office; Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

Responsibilities

  • Manage the business relationship with both established and prospective Direct Accounts within the Catalysis area
  • Deliver annual / quarterly financial targets in line with the Company’s budget
  • Develop and grow relationships with customers
  • Develop new sales opportunities (customers / products)
  • Support and coordinate new product introductions to customers
  • Proactively participate in the innovation product portfolio aligned to the company’s aspirations and goals
  • Accountable for pricing implementation, handling customer complaints and assisting in credit control queries
  • Participate in the monthly forecasting procedure
  • Grow the business aligned to the company’s strategy and aspirations
  • Attend and represent the company at industry conferences and exhibitions
  • Travel to customers / events
  • Any other duties within the post holder’s competence as requested
