Requirements

  • 7+ years in B2B sales, business development, or consulting in tech or utilities
  • Strong understanding of enterprise platforms (SAP, Oracle, Maximo, etc.)
  • Proven ability to engage with utility executives and technical stakeholders
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Willingness to travel frequently across North America

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans by utility type, size, and geography
  • Align business development efforts with corporate growth goals
  • Build long-term relationships with utility executives (CIOs, COOs, VPs)
  • Facilitate executive briefings, workshops, and strategy sessions
  • Generate leads through networking, events, and referrals
  • Conduct discovery sessions and manage CRM pipeline metrics
  • Lead post-sale follow-up and ensure client satisfaction
  • Translate complex solutions into business value propositions
  • Collaborate with SMEs and architects to develop demos and POCs
  • Lead RFP/RFI responses and proposal creation
  • Coordinate cross-functional input and craft compelling narratives
  • Build alliances with platform providers (SAP, Oracle, IBM) and niche vendors
  • Identify joint pursuits and co-marketing opportunities
  • Monitor trends like AI/ML, cloud migration, and digital twins
  • Conduct competitive analysis to refine positioning and pricing
  • Own quarterly and annual sales targets
  • Develop territory plans and accurate forecasts
  • Travel to client sites and industry events (e.g., DistribuTECH, MaximoWorld)
  • Represent Celerity at conferences and association meetings

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with digital transformation, cloud, or analytics in utilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and asset lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of FSM tools (OverIT, ClickSoftware, ServiceNow FSM)
  • Experience with public power, IOUs, or cooperative utilities
