Requirements

  • Proven success in consultative technical sales, ideally with experience in the packaging industry, capital goods, machinery, or industrial equipment
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, sales, business administration, or a related field
  • Ability to effectively sell complex products that require detailed technical explanations and solutions
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills, with a hands-on approach and well-organized work habits

Responsibilities

  • Initiate contact with target customers, implement lead generation strategies, and build essential connections within the packaging sector, with a focus on expanding into additional markets
  • Prospect and qualify sales leads through direct outreach, participation in trade shows, and other industry events. Respond to RFPs/RFQs from current key accounts that align with the company's technology
  • Use solution-based selling techniques to effectively demonstrate the value of their full product portfolio
  • Work synergistically with the teams sales representatives to nurture and expand client relationships, identifying and pursuing growth opportunities
  • Facilitate communication between US-based customers and the project management teams at the German HQ, assisting in the preparation of customized offers and proposals

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in the packaging sector is preferred, with an existing network being a significant asset
  • Experience in a global or international setting, including cross-cultural and cross-corporate collaboration, is a plus
