Summary
Join Yubico, a leader in security key technology, as a Solutions Engineer! You will be a key player in establishing technical credibility with government clients, working closely with sales and channel partners. This role involves strategic planning to meet sales quotas, building strong client relationships, and delivering successful Proof of Concepts (PoCs). You will also contribute to solutions development, improve customer experience through various channels, and support a dynamic, innovative company culture. The position offers remote work flexibility within the US (Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC preferred) and a competitive compensation package.
Requirements
- 4 or more years of experience in roles that require direct technical customer interaction, such as Solutions/Sales Engineering or a Pre-sales background
- 5 or more years experience working in Federal, Federal Civilian experience a plus
- Able to configure and install enterprise technologies including network infrastructure, virtualization, web applications, Windows, Mac, and Linux
- Knowledge of commonly used security technologies and protocols including two-factor authentication, IAM, Single Sign-On, VPN, PKI concepts and architecture, various authentication protocols (OATH, SAML, OpenID, PIV, FIDO)
- Understanding of the Federal Government budget, acquisition, and procurement processes
- Knowledge of Federal Government standards, requirements, and guidance such as: NIST SP 800-63-3, FIPS 201-2, FIPS 140-2/3, FICAM Roadmap and Implementation Guidance
- Knowledge of PIV/CAC Identity Proofing and Issuance
- Excellent written and oral business communication skills
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to collaborate across geographically dispersed functions
- Location: Remote USA (Maryland, Virginia, Washington DC preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
Responsibilities
- Establish yourself as a resident subject matter expert on Yubico’s products and ecosystem
- Strategize with sales reps to help achieve target sales quotas
- Build strong relationships with prospects and establish technical credibility to help advance deals
- Maintain relationships with existing customers and look for opportunities to expand their product usage and improve their security posture where relevant
- Build and deliver successful Proofs of Concept (PoCs), deployment planning, and technical consulting engagements
- Actively communicate with engineering and marketing with respect to evolving customer requirements in the marketplace
- Continually assist with solutions development to expand to new target markets and industries
- Improve the customer’s experience through conferences, workshops, and written documentation
- Care about contributing to an amazing work culture and environment
- Support and be comfortable with the rapid, unpredictable nature of a young innovative company
- Work with customers remotely and in person
Preferred Qualifications
5 or more years experience working in Federal, Federal Civilian experience a plus
