Join Obsidian Security as their inaugural Commercial Sales Engineer, focusing on acquiring accounts in high-growth sectors like healthcare, finance, and high-tech. Work closely with the Account Executive and Director of Technical Field Ops to establish best practices for this new market segment. You will be responsible for technical presentations, proof-of-concept demonstrations, and serving as a technical advisor throughout the sales process. Requirements

- Have the ability to execute on level 2 and beyond technical discovery
- Possess strong communication abilities to be the Corporate field-facing technical ambassador
- Have a solid understanding of Cloud and SaaS security concerns
- Have experience interacting with APIs, integrations, and middleware
- Possess competitive and market intelligence reconnaissance abilities
- Be willing to travel depending on customer opportunities
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations to prospective customers
- Actively drive technical proof for our prospects
- Work with the Corporate Sales team hand in hand as the technical advisor in the sales process
- Serve as a subject matter expert on SaaS security challenges and solutions
- Partner with prospects in a technical and educational capacity throughout the sales cycle
- Conduct field reconnaissance to provide feedback and insights to product management and engineering
- Stay up to date on the competitive landscape
Preferred Qualifications
- Have cybersecurity experience
- Be versed in software engineering
- Have attended demo and value-centric selling (i.e., Demo2win, customer-centric selling, etc.)
- Have experience in high-growth environments
