Summary

Join Cohesity's growing pre-sales engineering team based in India, supporting English-speaking regions across Asia Pacific & Europe. This remote role focuses on helping customers with Data Protection, Analytics, Storage, Virtualization, Database, AI, and Cloud solutions. You will work with sales opportunities, prioritize efforts for team productivity, and proactively identify technical solutions to meet customer needs. Close collaboration with internal teams is crucial to ensure solutions align with customer business needs. You will also deliver technical presentations and provide coaching to team members. This position requires a strong technical background and experience in a customer-facing pre-sales role.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of proven success in a customer facing, pre-sales role proposing enterprise solutions at all levels of a customer organization
  • Experience working with clients and technology partners alike
  • Experience selling and implementing Enterprise Hardware or Software, Cloud Platforms, IaaS, PaaS, or Virtual Infrastructure software
  • Comfortable working with multiple decision-makers to drive proposals
  • Very comfortable presenter of technical and business material to both small and large groups at varying levels
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication
  • Self-motivated and a self-starter, comfortable working remotely and autonomously
  • Ability to travel with the needs of the role
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

  • Be part of a remote pre-sales engineering team based in India, supporting English-speaking regions across Asia Pacific & Europe, with a focus on help desk support for channel/non-named commercial market coverage
  • Work on sales opportunities assigned to the team, prioritizing efforts to maximize overall team productivity and profitability, as guided by the Pre-sales Manager
  • Proactively identify and define the technical solutions required to meet customer needs, assess both met and unmet requirements, and recommend optimal solutions for both the customer and the organization
  • Gather input from key solution stakeholders within the customer’s organization
  • Customize technical solutions as needed to ensure they align with customer requirements
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, sales support, and service teams to ensure solutions align with customers’ business needs
  • Obtain necessary technical commitments from customer teams to facilitate deal closure
  • Achieve set targets for profitable sales growth across assigned product lines, market segments, channels, and sales teams
  • Provide coaching and professional development to team members, enhancing their product knowledge, technical expertise, and sales skills
  • Identify and pursue additional business development opportunities within customer organizations, working alongside sales teams to ensure effective engagement and advancement
  • Deliver technical presentations, demonstrations, and proof-of-concept sessions as required
