Sales Support Specialist

Summary

Join Meteor Education as a Sales Support Specialist and provide exceptional support to internal and external customers, optimizing the quoting process. You will initiate quote requests, ensure accuracy, and maintain positive customer relationships. Responsibilities include assisting Solution Design Specialists, verifying purchasing cooperatives, estimating costs, and maintaining response times. You will also work with vendors on pricing, assemble bid requests, and complete vendor forms. This is a remote, full-time position offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Requirements

• High School diploma or its equivalent
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
• Excellent customer service skills with a minimum of 3 years experience
• Demonstrated multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Initiate all quote requests from Solution Design Specialists, external customers, and inbound lead follow-up
• Ensure all requests have required information, clean and accurate specifications, and are within the company’s standard for margin
• Provide customer service by establishing positive relationships with both internal and external customers ensuring satisfaction and retention
• Assist Solution Design Specialists with system-related questions and communicate directly with vendors, when requested, on their behalf
• Verify proper use of customer purchasing cooperatives (various contracts)
• Estimate freight and installation costs and obtain actual freight and install costs for qualifying projects
• Maintain the standard metric of response time for all quote requests and follow up questions
• Work directly with ATC vendors to maintain complete and accurate pricing and communicate any updates to Meteor’s System Support team
• Assemble and submit ATC bid and proposal requests
• Complete vendor forms from current and new customers

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• School furniture industry experience
