Summary
Join Visa as the Director, Sales Training & Enablement, leading the global training strategy for sales transformation initiatives to drive revenue growth. You will serve as a trusted advisor to sales teams, developing and executing learning initiatives in a multi-product B2B environment. This role involves conducting root cause analyses, assessments, and creating learning solutions leveraging experience, exposure, and education. You will collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, design impactful learning programs, and leverage Visa University platforms. The position is remote with occasional travel and offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
Responsibilities
- Develop an overall learning strategy and implementation plan for priority Sales initiatives –i.e. B2B solution selling, deal structuring, commercial acumen, Sales skill, sales leader effectiveness, etc. - that meets global needs and promotes and facilitates a high performance culture
- Manage stakeholder relationships and cultivate mutually respectful relationships across the organization
- Guide business clients through goal definition, opportunity identification, and solutions using problem-solving principles
- Serve as a performance consultant and collaborate with global and regional business partners to determine strategic learning needs of the organization
- Understand key business drivers and operational infrastructure
- Use design expertise, business acumen, and influencing skills to design, curate or build the most impactful learning solutions
- Be adept at both designing learning programs as well as providing strategic direction for work done by other partners/vendors
- Develop an overall learning strategy and implementation plan for the business-specific initiatives that will drive growth, aligned with business objectives and key KPIs
- Engage, collaborate and partner with colleagues and resources within the Visa University organization as needed to successfully support and fulfill learning solution delivery
- Leverage existing VU platforms and tools to more efficiently obtain feedback, deliver training globally and measure learning effectiveness to drive continuous improvement
- Develop, implement, and evaluate the effectiveness of programs in partnership with the Data Analytics team
- Leverage analysis of on-going programs and initiatives in enhancing future strategies and tactics
- Create a network of external content providers/experts as appropriate to ensure best-in-class solutions for each business objective
- Support planning, budget and resource forecasting as required to maximize operational efficiencies
Preferred Qualifications
- 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
- Experience in high growth B2B organization with a focus on selling complex, multi-product solutions
- Experience transforming sales culture within a B2B organization
- 10 years of work experience with progressive experience developing, managing, and implementing learning solutions, preferably in a global corporate environment
- Learning content design and development skills to create and/or curate engaging customized learning programs
- Ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across functions and geographies
- Strong business acumen, analytical and technical competency including experience working closely with Sales, Sales Excellence/Operations and partner teams to gather input, collaborate with leadership to align on a learning strategy, prioritize projects based on business objectives and ROI
- Proven experience building, implementing, and fine-tuning sales process & tools training programs in a global corporate environment
- Critical and strategic thinking skills, with strong focus on service excellence, efficiency, accuracy and effective project/stakeholder/relationship skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, consulting, and partnering skills at a levels including the most senior levels in the organization
- Experience in CRM training & adoption, consultative selling methodologies, and new hire learning paths for client-facing employees are preferred
- Strong understanding of the payments industry and commercial sales are preferred
- Technical acumen or relevant experience in designing technical, tool-based or digital adoption (in app support) training a plus
