Remote Scheduler

Summary

The job description is for a Senior Scheduler position in construction infrastructure projects at PMA Northern California office. The candidate will coordinate project schedules, perform schedule reviews, evaluate contract change orders, and conduct site visits among other duties. The required qualifications include a minimum of 5 years of experience in project or program scheduling on large capital improvement programs, a Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field, advanced software skills including Primavera P6 and MS Office applications, and problem-solving, written, and verbal communication skills. The salary range is $120,000 to $180,000.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 plus years of experience in project or program schedule on large capital improvement programs required
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field required
• Advanced experience in software, including, but not limited to, Primavera P6 and MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, required
• Understanding the theories, principles, and practices of cost engineering and scheduling required
• Skilled in communicating effectively orally and in writing required
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment required

Responsibilities

• Coordinate project schedule preparation based on defined project execution philosophies
• Perform contractor schedule reviews for contract conformance and quality assurance
• Evaluate contract change orders and amendments for impact on budget and schedule
• Perform time impact analysis on schedule fragments
• Participate in change order negotiations and perform critical path and earned value analyses
• Identify schedule-related problems that arise during project execution and recommend corrective actions and creative solutions
• Conduct construction/project site visits for progress reporting
• Review contractor weekly and monthly schedule progress
• Prepare a narrative of findings and submit and present to management for decision making
• Review and evaluate contractor recovery schedules
• Perform cost analysis in support of design and construction phases of capital projects
• Analyze actual expenditures versus budget performance
• Prepare cost-loaded schedules to support comprehensive cash flow projections
