Summary
Join GuidePoint Security as a Security Architect / Strategic Security Advisor and help Account Executives drive new business in the North Central region. You will provide architectural guidance, product recommendations, and contribute to the engineering team's design of offerings for prospects and customers. This remote position requires residing in the specified North Central region and focuses on cybersecurity solutions, recommending new technologies, and working with clients to understand and solve their security challenges. You will also create service offerings, support vendor partners, and contribute to internal Centers of Excellence. The role is primarily pre-sales/sales with some delivery, mentorship, and offering development.
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years in an enterprise level security consultative, vendor, or operational role building and assessing Information Security architectures and programs
- Prior experience in a client facing Presales or consultative role in one of more areas of cybersecurity
- Deep proficiency in multiple security technologies, including but not limited to: Network Security and Architecture, NGFW, Cloud Security, Data Security, Vulnerability & Risk Management, EDR, IAM, SIEM & Analytics
- Expertise architecting and designing enterprise scale security solutions
- Proficiency in various client and server operating systems (Windows, Linux, OSX, etc.)
- Adapt at addressing technical and executive audience alike
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Working technical knowledge of advanced security concepts (Defense in Depth, Zero trust etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Serve as a senior trusted advisory, supporting both new and existing clients
- Focus on driving new business by working with the Account Executives within territory
- Be part of a team that helps provide direction for engineering cyber-security solutions that will be offered to customers
- Make cybersecurity design and configuration recommendations for prospects/customers' environment
- Possess equal parts “good listener” and “thought leader “to work with clients to understand issues/gaps in their security programs and works alongside them to provide solutions
- Excellent soft skills with the ability to articulate complex technical content to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience working with teams to create new service offerings and supporting collateral
- Proactively work to help mature the business, including improving existing offerings and creating new offerings
- Proactively research and engage emerging vendors and technologies to understand how they may be used to solve our client’s challenges
- Support our vendor partners through participation in events, roadmap sessions, and solution and architect overviews to maintain and advance solution understanding
- Author comprehensive business and technical collateral to support the business that is proficiently tailored to both technical and managerial audiences
- Support and contribute to internal Centers of Excellence, industry conference events, author and conduct panels and talk tracks in various domains of cybersecurity
- Possess a true team and selfless demeanor. In short, a willingness to support all aspects of the business; strategic or tactical

Preferred Qualifications
- Previous pre-sales experience
- Industry Certifications from ISC2, SANS GIAC, etc…
