Summary
Join Mixpanel's Enterprise Sales team as the first Strategic Sales Manager in Japan. This pivotal role focuses on expanding Mixpanel's presence in a key market with a significant existing customer base. You will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, collaborating with partners, identifying new partnerships, contributing to marketing strategy, and closing new business. Success in this role requires extensive experience in enterprise sales, a deep understanding of the Japanese market, and the ability to build a local support structure. The position offers the opportunity to build the Mixpanel business in Japan with support from the global organization. This is a remote position initially, requiring strong collaboration skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience, including at least 5 years in direct enterprise sales with a strong track record of closing new business
- Proven expertise in prospecting, executive mapping, and winning new logos in Japan
- Experience managing and exceeding large enterprise accounts
- Strong background in Product Management, Analytics, or SaaS
- Deep understanding of the Japanese market and business culture
- Ability to develop and execute multichannel sales strategies
- Experience in both account management and new business sales
- Technically adept, with the ability to deliver product demos to partners and customers
- Comfortable engaging with C-level executives and senior stakeholders
- Consistent success in closing six-figure deals
- Skilled in building and executing account, territory, and go-to-market strategies for a SaaS business in Japan
- Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding key performance indicators and sales quotas in complex customer environments
- Willingness to travel internationally as needed
- Ability to work remotely and effectively collaborate with a global team
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage relationships with current customers to expand existing business
- Collaborate with current partners, including resellers, to drive demand for our products
- Identify and establish partnerships with new resellers to build business with Mixpanel
- Contribute to the development of our marketing and messaging strategy for the region
- Prospect, progress, and close new business in the region
- Forecast the business in Japan
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with a technical SAAS product and collaborating with client Product and Engineering teams
- Strong network in the Japan Tech/Start-up space
