Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting, you will play a key role in our Finance Organization, implementing best practices for employees and suppliers. This role involves managing monthly and yearly close processes, ensuring tax compliance, overseeing T&E, and handling fixed assets. Requirements
- 3-7+ years of accounting experience
- A Bachelorβs degree in Finance, Accounting (CPA preferred, active or inactive)
- Experience with an ERP
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Deadline-driven, organized, attention to detail, and highly motivated
Responsibilities
- Assist with a timely and accurate monthly general ledger close and management reporting
- Work closely with our external tax advisors to ensure local, state, and federal tax compliance and timely process all tax payments
- Work closely with our international tax advisors to ensure VAT compliance. Ensure VAT returns are filed and payments are made in a timely manner
- Prepare and gather information for the Insurance renewal process every year
- Ensure adherence to company policies for travel and expenses. Work closely with procurement to ensure the T&E statement and related data are uploaded in Navan at month's end
- Ensure the completeness and accuracy of month-end expense accruals by communicating with vendors and internal business partners
- Manage fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliations
- Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure proper documentation for asset additions, disposals, and transfers
- Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting function and implement best practices
- Provide audit support as needed
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as necessary and support other team members as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years experience
- Workday ERP experience
- Previous experience with Navan(T&E)
- Solid understanding of GAAP and SOX
