Summary

Requirements

  • 2 to 4 years professional experience in a similar role supported by a relevant education/qualification
  • Good knowledge in Spanish and international accounting principles
  • Proficient in double entry/reconciliations and experienced in tax management and accounting
  • Very good English and strong communication skills
  • Willingness to take ownership and responsibility of projects and tasks
  • Excellent user of Excel and experienced in using ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite as a plus)

Responsibilities

  • Receive, review, and process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies to maintain accurate accounting records
  • Prepare and process weekly/monthly payment runs
  • Ensure timely and accurate recording of payments in the accounting system
  • Prepare daily bank reconciliations
  • Manage relation with vendors, local banks and advisors
  • Prepare the month-end closing and support the statutory financial statement preparation, ensuring respect of deadlines and making appropriate corrections and adjustment as required
  • Manage tax deadlines and ensure tax compliance in collaboration with external tax advisors
  • Assist / coordinate external audit and internal information requests as well as help to comply with local regulatory and tax regulations
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance
  • Take a leading role in structuring and improving our accounting policies and internal controls to the standards aimed by the group
  • Prepare and monitor on a daily basis the cash position report
