Summary

BlueVoyant is hiring a Senior Accountant to help scale their accounting and finance function in the EMEA region. The role involves supporting period closing processes, financial reporting, managing intercompany reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, and assisting in tax return preparation. The ideal candidate has an educational background in finance or accounting, European accounting certification, and at least 4 years of experience in a similar role.

Requirements

• Educational background in finance, accounting or similar discipline
• European accounting certification or equivalent
• 4+ years of experience in a similar role
• Strong practical knowledge of accounting standards and practices relevant to multi-national corporations, ‘Big 4’ or other public accounting experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager in period closing process, including reconciliation of balance sheet and P&L
• Support financial reporting in line with local GAAP or IFRS and US GAAP
• Reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries for multiple entities within Europe, including the UK
• Manage intercompany reconciliations
• Fixed asset accounting
• Post and reconcile banking transactions
• Performing AR/AP related transactions, including invoicing
• Assist in tax return preparation, VAT and other regulatory filings
• Assist in system implementation efforts impacting financial reporting systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Designing and maintaining appropriate internal controls, systems, and procedures to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting and enhancing the Company’s internal control environment
• Assisting with the preparation of supporting documentation in connection with the Company’s annual financial statement audits
