Senior Accountant

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
• Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in general ledger and payroll accounting
• Experience working with global ERP systems and payroll platforms
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and accounting concepts
• Exceptional organizational skills with a keen eye for detail
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and execute multiple tasks, with high commitment to quality and adherence to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Spearhead month-end close activities, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations for various general ledger accounts
• Oversee global payroll processing, including salaries and wages, bonuses, commissions, benefits, 401K, payroll taxes, etc
• Conduct comprehensive monthly and quarterly flux analyses by providing in-depth context on period-over-period variances and researching discrepancies
• Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., human resources, finance) and provide expert guidance on accounting matters
• Proactively identify any gaps within the accounting processes and propose innovative solutions for continuous improvement
• Assist in establishing and maintaining a robust internal control environment
• Liaise with external auditors during interim and year-end audits, preparing supporting documentation and responding to inquiries
• Support new initiatives and ad-hoc projects, as needed
