Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Accounting
  • A minimum of 3 yearsโ€™ experience in an accounting role
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to changing business needs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight month-end deadlines
  • Well organized and proactive

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end accounting of fixed assets, prepaid expenses, payroll, debt and leases
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly general ledger account reconciliations in a timely manner and take action on any reconciling items
  • Reconcile bank accounts monthly
  • Abide by GAAP standards and comply with company internal control and accounting policies
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and other issues and resolve discrepancies
  • Support annual financial audit preparation
  • Manage debt compliance reporting
  • Ensure multi-state sales tax compliance and timely prepare sales tax returns
  • Assist Controller with AR collections efforts and allowance accounting
  • Engage in special projects and analysis as assigned
  • Review new sales contracts and amendments to ensure revenue recognition and billing are properly accounted for in accordance with US GAAP
  • Prepare deferred revenue reconciliation schedules, including preparation and posting of related journal entries
  • Perform all duties for month-end close process related to revenue recognition

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA
  • Big 4 experience
  • Sage Intacct experience
  • Technology experience (specifically SaaS)
