Summary

Join KOSTAL Group's new global business service center in Budapest as an Accountant! This role focuses on preparing and posting accounting entries in SAP FI, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements. You will manage general ledger and tax-related matters, support daily accounting operations, and ensure compliance. The position offers flexible working conditions with remote work possibilities and a modern office environment. You will play a key role in transitioning accounting processes to the new center and have the opportunity to shape processes from the ground up. Requirements

  • University or college degree in Finance & Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or experience in Finance & Accounting field
  • Solid understanding of the main sections of the financial statement
  • Strong GL knowledge with at least 3-5 year finance operations role in SSC
  • Good understanding of a relevant local GAAP
  • General understanding of the overall closing process
  • SAP FI knowledge
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Proactive and outcome-focused attitude
  • Self-efficient and flexible, β€œCan do” attitude
  • Independent in work, tolerance of monotony
  • Reliable and responsible for deliverables
  • Accurate and timely

Responsibilities

  • Support the transition of accounting processes to the new Shared Service Center in Budapest
  • Post financial transactions, inventory adjustments, bank statements, FX and hedging transactions
  • Handle accruals, provisions, and deferred items; maintain roll-forward schedules
  • Oversee month-end closing, GL/sub-ledger reconciliation, and P&L management
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, audit requirements, and reporting obligations
  • Maintain updated process documentation and respond to external audit and balance confirmation requests
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and provide timely responses to ad-hoc queries
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure high-quality service delivery

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a service driven, customer-oriented environment (beneficial: SSC experience)
  • Fluent English knowledge and German or Spanish is an advantage
