Summary

Join our growing company as a detail-oriented Accountant! This critical role ensures accurate financial reporting, supports strategic decision-making, and maintains financial compliance. You will report to the Controller and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities include general ledger management, financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable, budgeting, audit support, tax compliance, cash management, process improvement, and private equity reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience, and strong technical and soft skills.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3+ years of accounting experience, ideally within a private equity-backed or high-growth company
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial compliance requirements
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey financial information to non-financial stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
  • Oversee AP/AR functions, ensuring timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
  • Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis to support strategic planning
  • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to inquiries
  • Support the preparation and submission of tax filings, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Monitor cash flow and banking activities to ensure optimal working capital management
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and scalability as the business grows
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and financial analyses required by private equity stakeholders
  • Contribute to various projects, such as M&A integration, ERP system enhancements, and other strategic initiatives

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA designation
  • Experience in both B2B and B2C environments
  • Familiarity with ERP systems
