Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, finance, or accounting
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial systems
  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Slides, Sheets)
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, rapidly changing, team-based environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular reconciliations of general ledger accounts, and other financial records
  • Prepare and maintain detailed reconciliation reports and supporting documentation
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in a timely manner
  • Collaborate with other departments to resolve outstanding financial issues
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures
  • Provide recommendations to improve reconciliation processes and reduce errors
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies, variances, or unusual transactions across various accounts
  • Monitor and clear open items in reconciliation accounts on a timely basis
  • Collaborate with internal teams (AP/AR/Payroll/Operations) to resolve outstanding reconciliation items
  • Provide ad hoc financial reports and support special projects as requested
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and assist with accounting close processes at month and Continuously identify opportunities for improving record keeping increasing efficiency
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information
  • Assist with special projects, audits, and ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, as required
  • Assist with additional team responsibilities as needed

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with NetSuite and Concur a plus
