Senior Accountant

Summary

Join PointClickCare as a Senior Accountant - Revenue Accounting and play a key role in supporting the Revenue Accounting team. You will be responsible for month-end close and reporting activities, account reconciliations, revenue share calculations, and supporting the external audit. This role also involves critical support in the rollout of a new billing system, including data cleansing, migration, and UAT testing. The position requires 3 to 5+ years of accounting experience, advanced Excel skills, and strong analytical and communication abilities. A CPA designation and NetSuite experience are preferred. The Canada base hourly range for this position is $40.86 - $44.23 ($85,000 - $92,000 annual), non-overtime eligible.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities
• Prepare assigned journal entries for close
• Roll forward and prepare revenue reporting decks ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Perform account reconciliations for key revenue and balance sheet general ledger accounts, understanding underlying balances, investigating, communicating and resolving discrepancies as identified
• Perform standard revenue share calculations as assigned, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contract terms
• Support external audit requests by coordinating with auditors and internal business partners, reviewing documentation for quality and accuracy prior to submission
• Assist with data cleansing, data migration and UAT testing activities with system implementation
• Documentation of new processes, process controls and improvements resulting from system implementation

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA designation
• Experience with NetSuite
• Understanding of US GAAP, especially revenue recognition is an asset
