Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a Master's degree in business administration or finance a plus
- 4-5 years of accounting experience working in a public accounting firm
- Must have knowledge of GAAP principals, compilation of financial statements with supporting schedules, and accounting concepts such as debits/credits adjusting journal entries
- Strong analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Experience with QuickBooks online
- Ability to think strategically and develop policies and procedures to enhance efficiency
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex financial information to clients
- Strong problem‐solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast‐paced and changing environment
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee client and internal engagements including back‐office support services to family office and ultra‐high net worth clients alongside RS&F’s legacy CAAS clients
- Analyze and evaluate complex financial information to present financial reports and develop financial projections
- Complete reconciliations of bank accounts and credit cards and prepare month end financials
- Process payroll as needed
- Manage relationships with external service providers such as attorneys, bank managers, and investment managers and make recommendations for their services as necessary
- Oversee and delegate work as needed to offshore team
- Assist with the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, policies, and guidelines for efficient back‐office services, including effective quality control
- Facilitate the implementation of new accounting software, report generation tools, or other technology
- Lead special projects for the provision of new and expanded services to family office and ultra‐high net worth clients, such as aircraft compliance, cybersecurity, family governance, and opportunity zones
Preferred Qualifications
Professional certification as a CPA, CFA, or other relevant subject area a plus
