Requirements
- Position requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics, and other closely related degrees and 3 years of experience in job offered or related public company corporate accounting role and/or Big 4 public accounting role
- Must have 3 years of experience in the following skills: GAAP; Sarbanes Oxley; Using Excel to perform account reconciliation and complex financial modeling to calculate estimates and allowances for loan loss
- Must also have 1 year of experience in the following skills: Sage Intacct modules including General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Management and Reporting to record financial journal entries, perform bank reconciliations, add intangible and fixed assets to sub-ledgers, and create custom reports for the entire accounting team; and Using Tipalti to review uncoded bills, and trace payment history or review bills/invoices by vendor
Responsibilities
- Prepare and/or review of the accounting team’s monthly financial close and related reporting activities, ensuring adherence to US GAAP
- Lead the Company’s allowance for loan loss process by preparing monthly estimates and entries, creating internal reporting and executing internal controls related to the process
- Compile financial information for external auditors and controls documentation
- Reconciling financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
- Oversee and prepare proper controls over the Company’s significant business processes, as well as identifying opportunities for process improvement
- Support the overall Finance function with ad hoc reporting and projects, as needed
