Senior Accountant

Summary

Join Vacasa as a Senior Accountant I and support our Accounting Team. You will create rollforward schedules, audit and analyze data, process accounts payable and receivable, work with the Operations Team, perform data transfer and reconciliation, analyze financial reports, reconcile cash receipts, drive process improvements, support the monthly close process, perform flux analysis, reconcile balance sheet accounts, assist with consolidation, and correspond with other departments. Success requires understanding Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, being highly self-motivated, problem-solving efficiently, and working well in a growing organization. This role demands integrity, professionalism, and effective interaction with diverse teams. Requirements

• Bilingual English / Spanish required
• Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting
• Highly organized and thorough
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High Proficiency with Excel and Google apps for business
• Flexibility and responsiveness to change

• 2-3 years experience public accounting or similar industry experience

Responsibilities

• Create rollforward schedules for monthly changes of unit related Balance Sheet items
• Audit and analyze Property Management Software data for accuracy and reconciliation to cash receipts
• Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
• Work closely with Operations Team regarding the balancing of reservations and charges to Owners
• Data transfer and reconciliation
• Analyze Income Statements and Balance Sheet reports
• Reconcile cash receipts daily and respond to chargeback cases as needed
• Drive process improvements and research relevant accounting topics
• Support monthly close process
• Perform flux analysis
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts using company templates
• Assist with consolidation
• Correspond with other corporate departments to ensure proper accounting treatment of income and expenses
• Other tasks and projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous travel or industry related experience is preferred
• Experience with Netsuite a plus
• Big Four audit experience a plus
• Vacation Rental Industry experience a plus
