You will manage various accounting tasks, including payables, receivables, expense reports, payroll, and month-end close processes. You will work with multiple clients, ensuring compliance with GAAP and FASB guidelines. Requirements
- The candidate must have experience as a Senior Accountant for a venture-backed technology Company with a strong attention to details
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- 5 years of accounting experience
- Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Xero, bill.com, and expense software
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must have payroll processing experience
- Preparing 1099s
- Providing audit support and documentation for the PBC list
- Updating budget models
- Must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting
Responsibilities
- Manage payables, expense reports, and vendor master files
- Preparation of invoices, application of customer payments, and reconciliation of accounts receivable
- Potentially prepare and process payroll and the related journal entries
- Timely participation in the month-end close process, including the preparation of account reconciliations
- Review and resolve accounting discrepancies and issues as they arise
- Manage cash, bank reconciliations, and cash burn reporting
- Ensure compliance with appropriate GAAP and FASB guidelines for the size and nature of the client’s business
- Assist and support external tax professionals
- Assist in the development and maintenance of financial controls
- Payroll processing
- Preparation of monthly internal financial statements
Preferred Qualifications
- Support with multiple clients is a big plus
- CPA preferred (active or inactive)
- MBA or equivalent is a plus
