Requirements

• 4+ years of industry experience with a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research)
• Prior experience in advanced analytics or business data science within a marketplace or business strategy setting
• Deep understanding of data analysis and causal modeling, with a specific focus on supply metrics and dimensions
• Exceptional business acumen, strategic thinking skills, and the ability to make informed judgments
• Excellent communication skills, adept at engaging with a variety of stakeholders and conveying complex concepts in an accessible manner
• Proven stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate and influence across functions
• An agile, growth-minded approach, demonstrated through a history of driving projects from ideation to impact

Responsibilities

• Conduct advanced data analysis and causal modeling to extract actionable insights that inform strategic decisions related to supply metrics and dimensions
• Collaborate closely with the VP Supply and their team, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decisions
• Monitor and analyze key metrics such as occupancy, quality, pricing, along with key dimensions like location, type, size and capacity, amenities
• Develop and maintain comprehensive metrics and reports to monitor supply performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Strategic Finance, Data and Analytical Engineering, and Data Science, to align strategies and leverage synergies
• Contribute to the advancement of the Analytics and Data Science disciplines at Airbnb by driving best practices in analytics, automating analytical processes, and promoting data education across the company
