Summary

MedeAnalytics is a healthcare analytics leader that helps payers and providers improve financial, operational, and clinical outcomes. They are seeking a Senior Analyst, Accounting & Financial Reporting to join their team and participate in the company's accounting close and reporting cycle. The role involves performing day-to-day accounting activities, maintaining balance sheet and general ledger accounts, preparing financial statements and reports, conducting flux analysis, assisting with audit preparation, contributing to new accounting system development, and participating in special projects.

Requirements

• Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting + CPA
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting including public accounting
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Advanced experience with Excel and financial accounting systems
• Ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within the team

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day accounting activities and conduct month-end close processes
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Prepare financial statements and other internal and external financial reports
• Respond to queries from other finance and company-wide managers regarding financial results
• Assist with the annual external audit, including preparation of audit workpapers, financial disclosures, and communications with auditors on sampled items
• Contribute to the development of new accounting system and support continuous improvement of processes
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Prepare and file monthly sales tax returns
• Participate in special projects and ad hoc requests

Preferred Qualifications

Big 4 experience highly preferred
