Senior Associate, Sales Tax Compliance in Philippines

Summary

The job is for a Senior Sales and Use Tax Associate at Aprio, a globally diverse CPA and advisory firm. The role involves preparing workpapers, conducting research on indirect tax matters, responding to notices, and performing other duties as assigned. Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment
• A quick learner who can adapt to a fast-paced setting
• General computer literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• A data-conscious individual willing to learn how systems/software integrate and produce information to verify data or identify anomalies
• Proven track record of working independently with a strong sense of ownership
• Responsible and reliable, capable of maintaining individual production while fostering a team atmosphere
• Possess deductive reasoning and a growth mindset
• Open to embracing new challenges and devising innovative solutions

Responsibilities

• Prepare workpapers and file state and local sales tax returns
• Conduct research on various indirect tax matters, including nexus and state filing requirements
• Respond to notices received and participate in sales tax reviews
• Perform other duties as assigned
