Remote Senior Technical Accountant

Summary

Join our finance team as a Sr. Technical Accountant and play an integral part in applying GAAP revenue recognition principles in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Audit customer contracts to verify transactions have been accurately recorded in the Company’s ERP system in accordance with ASC 606 revenue recognition requirements of the software industry
• Provide guidance to the sales organization regarding structuring customer contracts in the best manner possible to optimize bookings and revenue
• Advise revenue operations and product teams about the potential accounting implications associated with changes in how the company sells and prices its products and services. Propose solutions that balance the business need with revenue recognition and accounting operations efficiency considerations
• Interpret new accounting standards impacting the Company and document the adoption method in technical accounting memos. Document new accounting processes and procedures
• Maintain the Company’s existing technical accounting, process and procedure policies. Existing technical accounting policies include ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 340 incentive compensation, capitalized software development, stock compensation, lease accounting and fair value of financial instruments
• Assist in preparation of the annual financial statements and related footnote disclosures
• Support the 409(a) valuation process
• Global sales tax compliance assessments
• Participate in process improvement and ad hoc projects as needed. This may include establishment of new international subsidiaries and associated transfer pricing considerations
