Summary

Join Cloud Chamber as a Senior Audio Programmer and collaborate with developers and the audio team to design, maintain, and optimize high-performance audio systems. Reporting to the Lead Audio Programmer and working under the Audio Director, you will build audio systems and pipelines for a narrative-driven game. You will design and maintain audio systems in Unreal Engine 5, collaborate with other teams, develop editor tools, and ensure audio performance across platforms. The role requires extensive experience in audio programming, specifically within AAA game development, and proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine. Requirements

  • 5+ years industry or related experience
  • 1 or more published AAA video game titles
  • Previous experience working in an Audio Programming role, preferably at a senior capacity
  • Current generation AAA console experience
  • Strong Math Skills
  • Strong C++ experience
  • Flexible and collaborative mindset and attitude
  • Self-motivated, curious, and collaborative
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to problem-solve and prioritize issues while developing a production pipeline

Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain audio systems in Unreal Engine 5, including acoustic simulation and audio pipelines
  • Collaborate closely with the Voice Design and Audio Design teams to meet creative and technical needs
  • Develop editor tools to streamline workflows for sound designers
  • Ensure audio performance across all targeted platforms
  • Support Gameplay and AI teams in prototyping and implementing audio features
  • Manage and integrate third-party solutions such as Audiokinetic Wwise

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Audiokinetic Wwise and Unreal is a plus
