Summary

Symmetrio is recruiting a Senior Building Automation Systems Architect/Engineer to lead the development of smart building solutions for a large government organization in Philadelphia. The ideal candidate will have experience in building automation systems, networking, and collaboration with various stakeholders. This is a full-time remote position with competitive compensation, health benefits, PTO/Holidays, and a 401k retirement plan.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years related work experience with building automation/controls
  • 5+ years as a Solutions Architect, IT Systems / Network Engineer; advanced expertise with routing / network protocols (VRF/OSPF/BGP) in large, enterprise environments
  • Working knowledge of various BAS platforms
  • Advanced understanding of HVAC, access control and / or other building / electronic control systems
  • Competency in Office365 suite of applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, Project)

Responsibilities

  • Meet with stakeholders & define BAS requirements / scope; create detailed technical project documentation
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to design and develop control systems for building automation projects
  • Design and architect control system drawings and schematics
  • Create detailed specifications and schematics for control system components
  • Develop Proof of Concepts
  • Provide technical support and leadership to plan, schedule and execute hardware and software engineering
  • Develop technical implementation plans of building automation systems software integration projects
  • Work with project team to ensure proper operation of the automation and software solutions
  • Conduct thorough testing of control systems to ensure functionality and reliability
