Summary
Join AIP Publishing, a leading physical sciences publisher, as a Senior Business Analyst. You will play a critical role in understanding how our products, systems, and processes work together to deliver value. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and document business requirements, focusing on delivering key business value and promoting agile practices. This role requires proven experience in business analysis within an agile environment and strong analytical and communication skills. Requirements
- Proven experience in business analysis within an agile environment
- Strong skills in mapping, analyzing, and improving business processes
- Ability to lead and facilitate groups across various disciplines
- Skilled in bridging business and technical stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and successful requirement delivery
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Quick to learn new business domains, platforms, technical applications, and processes
- Strong analytical mindset with a focus on finding innovative solutions to challenges
- Effective negotiation and influencing skills to guide decision-making and seek cooperation from stakeholders
- Self-starter with the ability to handle ambiguity and changing priorities
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in an agile environment
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders and subject matter experts to identify, develop, document, and validate business requirements
- Bring critical analytical insight, and an enterprise-wide perspective, to key projects and initiatives
- Engage with cross-functional teams to identify, clarify, and prioritize requirements for product, system, and process improvements
- Focus teams and projects on delivering the most important business value
- Promote agile practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Develop and maintain a clear view of how AIPP products, systems, processes, and business units work together
- Step into a Project Manager role as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Scientific, Technical, and Medical (STM) academic publishing
- Certification in one or more agile methods and relevant business analysis methods OR experience with one or more process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean
- Significant SAFe / Agile experience OR an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
