Summary

Join Cove, a rapidly expanding flexible living platform in Asia Pacific, as a Business Development Associate to support property acquisition and growth initiatives in Japan. This permanent role involves assisting in sourcing new properties, building relationships with property owners, and contributing to Cove’s mission of creating high-quality, flexible living spaces. You will execute property acquisition strategies, research opportunities, prepare property documents, collaborate with cross-functional teams, track KPIs, maintain relationships with property owners, support contract renewals, and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate possesses 1–3 years of experience in business development or real estate, strong communication skills in English and Japanese, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, real estate, or a related field
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in English and Japanese
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Google Sheets, or similar tools

Responsibilities

  • Assist in executing the property acquisition strategy to grow Cove’s portfolio in Japan
  • Support property sourcing efforts by researching opportunities and reaching out to property owners, agents, and developers
  • Help with the preparation and review of property documents, including Letters of Intent (LoI) and Agreements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth property onboarding
  • Track and report property acquisition KPIs and performance metrics weekly
  • Maintain and improve relationships with property owners and landlords
  • Support the renewal and extension of property contracts
  • Contribute to refining acquisition processes and best practices to improve efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • A degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Interest in real estate and knowledge of the local residential or hospitality market is a plus
