Summary

Join Mux as a Community Engineer and inspire developers to build innovative video applications. You will dedicate 40% of your time to creating engaging content, 40% to coding and contributing to various projects, and 20% to creative exploration. Engage directly with customers, generating creative ideas to promote Mux, and enhance our documentation and resources. Effectively communicate with developers through talks, videos, blog posts, and conferences. You will also play a key role in bridging the gap between the developer community and Mux's engineering and product teams. This role requires a senior-level engineer with 5+ years of experience and a strong desire for continuous growth.

Requirements

  • Senior-level engineer with 5+ years of experience writing code and are comfortable building with modern programming languages, and a strong desire to keep growing your technical skills
  • You have a self-starter, entrepreneurial mindset and thrive in ambiguity and fast-moving environments
  • You love problem solving, you like helping people and you like working with developers
  • Willing to travel for conferences, events, and meetups

Responsibilities

  • Talk to customers to see first hand what they are building and how they are using Mux
  • Come up with creative ideas to help expose Mux to developers in an authentic and engaging way
  • Improve Mux’s documentation and resources that help developers understand what Mux does and how they can use Mux
  • Speak and write for a developer audience, submit talks, make videos, write blog posts, and represent Mux at conferences
  • Help drive the feedback loop between what you’re seeing in the larger developer community and the Mux Engineering and Product teams to ensure that the customer voice is being amplified

Preferred Qualifications

Experience running or supporting a community - whether online or in person, developer or otherwise
