Senior Community Marketing Specialist

Summary

The job is for a Community Engagement Manager at Circle, a financial technology company focusing on blockchain and cryptocurrency. The role involves managing the global developer community, particularly in LATAM, and creating an engagement plan for Discord. The position offers day-one PERM sponsorship for qualified candidates.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: 4+ years of experience with 2+ years of experience in community management or engagement roles in the cryptocurrency or blockchain space. Demonstrated success in building and growing vibrant online communities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Technical/Developer Experience: 2+ years of experience in web3 development
• Hands-on development experience: 2+ years of experience with coding in web3. You know your way around at least one programming language and have no problem writing and executing sample code
• Strong Leadership: Previous experience in leading a community engagement team with the ability to inspire and motivate team members towards shared goals
• Passion for Cryptocurrency and Blockchain: A deep interest and understanding of the crypto space, digital currencies, and decentralized finance. Knowledge of USDC and its applications is a strong plus
• Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and interact with community members
• Analytical Mindset: Proficiency in data analysis, with the ability to leverage insights to inform decision-making and optimize community engagement strategies
• Global Perspective: Experience in engaging with a diverse, international audience. Cultural sensitivity and adaptability to cater to the needs of a global community
• Bilingual: Fluency in English and Spanish required, Portuguese a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Overseeing the day-to-day management of the community, including monitoring discussions, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues promptly and efficiently
• Executing an engagement plan for our Discord community, set forth by the Director of Community, to ensure active participation, vibrant discussions, and a strong sense of belonging among community members
• Collaborating with the Director to identify developers, capturing content and collaborating with the product team to develop compelling and relevant content that resonates with the community
• Supporting on overall curation and promoting user-generated content to encourage active participation and community contributions
• Working closely with the Community and Ecosystem Growth Directors to plan and execute community events, both virtual and physical, that align with the community’s interests and needs
• Implementing strategies to attract and onboard new developers to the community. Fostering relationships with key influencers, partners, and industry stakeholders to advocate for the community and drive collaboration opportunities
• Utilizing analytics tools, such as CommonRoom, to measure the effectiveness of community engagement initiatives. Providing regular reports and insights to leadership on community growth, engagement trends, and areas for improvement

Benefits

• Base Pay Range: $122,500 - $162,500
• Annual Bonus Target: 12.5%
