Requirements

  • Experience supporting a sales team, and negotiating high volumes of complex commercial contracts
  • A J.D. and admission to at least one state bar
  • 7+ years of legal experience
  • Excellent communication skills and collaborative mindset
  • Efficiency-minded and process oriented, with an interest in building and improving scalable processes that ensure you are spending your time on the right matters
  • Engaged and excited to help accelerate the growth of a dynamic, fast-paced company revolutionizing the healthcare landscape
  • Strong analytical and problem-resolution skills with the ability to balance business needs with legal risks
  • Independent and self-reliant, and able to effectively triage and prioritize high-value work while communicating to set appropriate expectations with business partners
  • Not afraid of adhering to metrics, process improvement, and workflow management

Responsibilities

  • Act as a strategic business partner to review, draft, and negotiate on a range of commercial agreements, particularly focusing on our agreements with customers and vendors
  • Serve as the primary legal contact to our growth teams
  • Create and manage templates, playbooks, and one-pagers relevant to our offerings
  • Work with Legal Ops to manage our intake process and our contract management system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with high growth companies and start-ups
  • Digital health or telehealth experience
  • Experience with data privacy (particularly negotiating Data Processing Agreements and Business Associate Agreements)
  • Law firm and in-house experience
  • Google Docs, Ironclad, Asana, and slack familiarity
  • Sense of humor
