Summary
Join Xero's Ecosystem team as a Senior Developer Marketing Manager and play a key role in accelerating the engagement and growth of our developer ecosystem. You will support the platform marketing strategy, driving key programs to drive growth and advocacy within the developer community. Reporting to the Head of Platform Marketing, you will lead and champion community interactions and marketing programs that supercharge product utilization, developer engagement and advocacy, and channel revenue. This is a fixed-term role (ending December 24, 2025), based in New Zealand (hybrid or work from home). The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of developer relations experience and a proven track record of success in content-led acquisition initiatives and community building. Requirements
- 5+ years developer relations experience, ideally in program management, developer marketing or partnership roles
- Technical background and expertise working with a technical or developer audience
- Track record delivering effective content-led acquisition initiatives, utilizing digital channels (organic, social, email, paid), events (virtual, webinars and IRL) PR, comms and community
- Experience building community engagement and advocacy through targeted education programs
- Proven experience developing marketing strategy, audience segmentation, positioning and messaging
Responsibilities
- Execute the platform marketing strategy to drive growth and engagement within the Xero partner ecosystem
- Develop program strategy and delivery that enable internal clarity and external awareness and growth for Xero Developers including ongoing communication, review and governance
- Write targeted education and content to build engagement, increase product utilization and inspire partner advocacy
- Develop email nurture campaigns improving the developer experience, product adoption and onboarding into the Xero App Store / platform
- Improve the Xero Developer brand to drive awareness and acquisition
- Re-invigorate and boost engagement across Xero developer social channels and community forums
- Collaborate with Head Of Platform Marketing, Head Of Growth and Partnerships to deliver channel acquisition programs
- Work with product marketing to ensure a compelling ecosystem platform and partner value proposition, and translate this through the Xero developer brand and partner enablement
- Work with HO Platform Marketing and Product to optimize the Xero Developer Centre to improve experience and conversion through the developer acquisition funnel
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with marketing automation, CRM and business software - Salesforce Marketing Cloud a bonus
- Experience in a marketplace, SaaS or high-growth tech business is highly sought after
