Summary

The job is for a Senior Director of Global Patient Access Strategy & Commercialization at Avalere Health, based in the UK with remote work available. The role involves business development, project delivery, and providing senior strategic counsel to clients. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in market access consultancy or pharmaceutical market access roles.

Requirements

  • You will have a broad understanding of the different payer/payer influencer stakeholders, value drivers and processes responsible for unlocking access in different global markets
  • You will be well versed in national market access archetypes, however the focus here is patient access over and above the narrower set of stakeholders, evidence and processes to achieve national HTA and includes patient access in the absence of a nationally reimbursed model
  • Experience and gravitas to shape and facilitate free-flowing strategic discussions with senior clients and provide robust, well considered advice to different business challenges
  • Extensive experience of payer value drivers and payer decision making processes at national/regional level from extensive personal engagement with payers through primary research and facilitation of advisory boards and/or directly from roles as a payer or in a payer customer-facing role. Experience of patient advocacy work is a plus
  • Breadth of experience of pharma/biotech commercialization and distribution models in different market access archetypes and in different compliance frameworks
  • Depth of experience in extracting, interpreting and critical appraisal of complex clinical and health economic data sets to create compelling payer/payer influencer messaging
  • Experienced, supportive team line manager and coach with outstanding work ethic, commitment and organizational skills to deliver timely, high-quality work

Responsibilities

  • Duties will include business development with an expectation to create and drive thought leadership and to build a portfolio of business with new and existing clients
  • Projects will involve working with senior global/regional market access clients to anticipate and implement solutions and initiatives to ensure that fully enabled in-market patient access and commercial pull through is achieved as close as possible to marketing authorization and sustained until loss of exclusivity
