Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in competitive intelligence, market intelligence, market strategy, or growth marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Strategic Vision: Proven ability to develop and execute comprehensive market strategies that drive competitive advantage and business growth
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
  • Leadership: Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and influencing senior executives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and strategies to diverse audiences
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in an agile environment with the ability to pivot quickly based on changing market conditions
  • Results-Driven: A track record of achieving measurable results in competitive intelligence, market entry, and growth marketing
  • Experience with competitive and market intelligence platforms like Crayon, Klue, etc
  • Experience with win/loss platforms like TruVoice and/or management of 3rd party partners for win/loss reporting

Responsibilities

  • Build, lead and mentor a team of Market Success Analysts
  • Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive competitive intelligence strategy
  • Monitor competitor activities, product offerings, pricing strategies, and market positioning to identify threats and opportunities
  • Collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to translate competitive intelligence into actionable strategies
  • Regularly report on competitive trends and provide strategic recommendations to the executive team
  • Develop a robust market intelligence framework to gather and analyze data on industry trends, market dynamics, customer needs, and emerging technologies
  • Identify and assess key market drivers, challenges, and opportunities to inform business strategy and product development
  • Conduct regular market scans and research to keep the organization informed about the evolving market landscape
  • Work closely with product management to ensure that market insights are integrated into the product roadmap and development process
  • Lead the identification, assessment, and prioritization of new market opportunities
  • Develop go-to-market strategies for new market entry, including market sizing, competitive landscape analysis, and entry tactics
  • Collaborate with business development and sales teams to execute market entry plans
  • Evaluate the performance of new market entries and adjust strategies as needed to maximize success
