Summary
Join Toast's Consumer org, a B2C venture, as the Head of Consumer Growth to lead the expansion of the Local by Toast consumer app. You will design and execute growth strategies, collaborate with cross-functional teams, build the growth tech stack, and optimize user flows. Requirements
- Proven track record of driving profitable growth for consumer-facing apps and marketplaces
- Deep knowledge of hyperlocal growth strategies, including geotargeted campaigns, local SEO, and referral networks
- Comfortable operating in an early-stage venture environment where speed, iteration, and adaptability are key to success
- Proven ability to make data-driven budget decisions and report on cost-efficiency metrics to executive stakeholders
- Deep experimentation mindset: comfortable designing and interpreting A/B tests, multivariate experiments, and user feedback loops
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, capable of influencing stakeholders across the organization
- Technical fluency with CRM/CDP platforms, analytics/SQL, attribution tools, and marketing automation platforms
Responsibilities
- Own channel strategy and budget allocation across all growth bets
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment on growth priorities, communicate performance insights, and advocate for growth-related resource needs
- Develop the growth tech stack and data infrastructure, selecting and implementing attribution and automation tools that enable effective experimentation and measurement
- Partner with R&D team to optimize user flows and develop new product experiences driven by growth insights
- Drive community engagement initiatives—both online and offline—to foster brand advocacy and word-of-mouth growth. Collaborate with the Toast Marketing Team to develop and launch the Local by Toast brand
- Plan and execute regional market pilots of new product experiences to optimize for finding product market fit
- Establish KPIs and dashboards to track growth performance
- Build and lead a high-performing growth team as the team scales
- Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and data-driven decision-making
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field
- Passion for local dining experiences and consumer technology
