Summary
Join the Ad Council's Creators for Good team as a Senior Director, Influencer Marketing for a 6-month contract position covering maternity leave. Co-lead the in-house influencer marketing team, managing 3-4 direct reports and overseeing content production, media partnerships, and campaign execution across 5-7 social impact campaigns. Responsibilities include developing influencer marketing strategies, managing team operations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate possesses 10+ years of experience in influencer marketing, proven team management skills, and expertise in the media and advertising landscape. This fully remote contract position offers competitive compensation ($10,000-$11,000 monthly) and limited benefits, including paid time off.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in influencer marketing
- Experience in client management working with external partners
- Experience in team management and mentoring of multiple direct reports
- Creative and strategic thinker that can ideate and activate
- Knowledge and expertise in the media and advertising landscape
- Experience navigating highly matrixed organizations and marshaling resources
- Self-starter who excels in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced setting
- Excellent organizational skills, project management skills, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Experience with social listening & influencer marketing tools
- Experience with content development, execution and production
- Strong understanding of social media landscape and creator trends
Responsibilities
- Support overseeing the influencer marketing team operations as a co-lead and manage on-going content projects
- Identify and implement partnership opportunities working closely with cross-functional internal teams to elevate and amplify unique campaign initiatives, messages and the Ad Council brand
- Manage a team of direct reports, delegating responsibility for day-to-day campaign and project management and supporting their professional development
- Oversee all aspects of influencer campaign activation including: sourcing, brand safety vetting, conducting outreach, brief writing, content production/reviews/approvals and logistics coordination
- Develop over-arching influencer marketing strategy for dedicated campaigns that will be informed by campaign messaging and research-based target audience definition
- Present recommendations to clients and internal teams for feedback and alignment
- Collaborate closely with the PR, Media, Research, Analytics and Campaign teams to seamlessly execute fully integrated strategy
- Manage external influencer network vendors when applicable and oversee all aspects of the partnership
- Position Creators for Good both internally and externally as experts in trusted messengers, selling through services to help increase revenue
- Partner with social media platforms and their dedicated creator teams to identify opportunities for partnership and facilitate activation in partnership with the Ad Councilβs Media team for paid, owned and earned media opportunities
- Provide strategic guidance to direct reports and team members on internal and external processes and workflows
