Senior Director of App Product, Remote - United States

Summary

The job is for the Sr. Director of App Product at Shippo, a company that provides shipping solutions to e-commerce businesses. The role involves creating the best shipping experiences for SMB merchants and co-owning the P&L for the entire app business. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in building and managing high-performing product teams, deep understanding of Agile methodologies, exceptional communication skills, passion for e-commerce and logistics technology, and 3+ years of experience working in fast-paced environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years’ experience — with a strong focus on building products for large merchant volume in a high transaction volume environment
• 5+ years of experience in building and managing high-performing product teams
• Demonstrable track record of successfully leading and scaling app products with a large user base
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies and product management tools such as JIRA
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
• Passion for e-commerce and logistics technology, committed to delivering exceptional customer experiences
• 3+ years of experience working in fast-paced environments, building and scaling SaaS products

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the app, ensuring alignment with overall company goals and customer needs
• Lead and mentor a team of product managers to deliver high-quality app features and improvements for 100K+ merchants worldwide
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, sales, and customer support, to drive product initiatives and ensure successful launches

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience working in or with e-commerce companies
• Experience working on logistics, fulfillment & e-commerce shipping products and services
