Senior Director of Engineering

Summary

Postscript is seeking a Senior Director of Product Engineering to lead their engineering efforts and help build a world class organization. The role involves steering the technical roadmap, managing a team of engineering managers, leading cross-functional projects, and ensuring alignment with the product strategy and roadmap. This is a fully remote position.

Requirements

• 5-8 years experience in engineering leadership for a high-growth SaaS company
• Past experience as a second-line manager and developing & nurturing top talent

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Direction: Develop and execute a clear strategic vision for the product engineering department, align team efforts with the company’s product goals and customer needs
• Team Management and Development: Directly manage a team of 3-5 engineering managers, fostering an environment of high autonomy and ownership. Focus on recruiting, mentoring, and retaining top-tier engineering talent
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Lead cross-functional projects that require coordination between engineering, product, design, and other departments
• Process and System Optimization: Design and implement efficient systems and processes to manage consistent product delivery and high performance across the engineering team
• Technical Advocacy and Decision-Making: Advocate for necessary technical work that supports the product’s growth and stability, balancing this with the need to continuously deliver customer value. Make decisive, informed decisions in ambiguous situations

• Martech/Ecommerce exposure (not required)
