Senior Director, Systems Engineering

Summary

Join Ivanti as the Head of Data Strategy and lead the scaling of Data Engineering and Data Governance teams. You will work collaboratively with various teams to improve data quality and accessibility, ensuring actionable insights are readily available. This role involves architecting, aggregating, engineering, and disseminating Ivanti's core data, maintaining data architecture documentation, and administering the data warehousing solution. Success in this position requires extensive experience in people management, data governance, and data architecture, along with a proven ability to align data initiatives with broader business strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business processes and experience building high-performing data teams.

Requirements

• +10 years of experience in people management, with a proven track record of scaling
• Demonstrated history of alignment of data initiatives with the broader business strategy. Understand the company’s goals and how data can drive better decision-making, innovation, and competitive advantage
• Ability to collaborate with teams across IT, marketing, finance, and operations. Foster strong relationships with other business leaders to ensure data initiatives align with and support organizational priorities
• Implemented a structured governance model to ensure consistency, quality, and accessibility of data. This should cover data ownership, stewardship, access controls, and data lifecycle management
• Proven designs for scalable, flexible, and secure data architecture that can handle growing volumes of data and evolving business needs leveraging a Kimball Data Warehousing methodologies and best practices
• Built or developed skilled data team(s) with diverse expertise in data engineering, data analysis, data governance, and data science. Invest in professional development and foster a collaborative team environment
• Ability to assist, lead, and even build technical data solutions in support of the entire data team
• Understanding of business processes to enhance, refine, and re-engineer while leveraging data initiatives
• Extensive experience in Business Intelligence and the development of KPIs, dashboards, and analytical reporting in order to support such teams

Responsibilities

• Lead a global team of Data Engineers to Architect, Aggregate, Engineer, and Disseminate Ivanti’s core data
• Lead a team of Data Governance SMEs to maximize field and object cleanliness and quality, strategic proactive enhancement for ensuring data quality
• Own and maintain Data Architecture documentation
• Administrate and manage our data warehousing solution (Snowflake)
