Senior Finance Business Partner

Summary

Join Form3 as a Finance Business Partner for the R&D organization. You will be the primary financial contact, providing input into business cases, managing projects, and controlling costs. Responsibilities include stakeholder management, collaborating across departments on budgets and forecasts, analyzing financial information, developing financial models, and supporting the tax team. This role requires 5+ years of experience in business partnering, extensive experience with engineering and product teams, and ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications. Strong Excel skills and financial modeling experience are essential. While primarily remote, occasional travel to the London office may be required. The role offers the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in a close-knit team.

Requirements

• 5+ years' experience working in a Business Partnering role
• Extensive experience working with both large and highly complex Engineering and Product teams
• Reporting and presenting to senior stakeholders (CTO, CPO level) and comfortable presenting at board level
• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualifications
• Experience in cost management and variance analysis
• Strong Microsoft excel skills and experience in financial modelling
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships

Responsibilities

• Provide financial inputs into business cases
• Perform ongoing project management and cost controls
• Manage stakeholders with senior management on a regular basis
• Partner across the business, working with all different departments of the business to assist in budget creation, forecast processes and share best practices
• Challenge assumptions and influence stakeholders to improve business performance while considering financial implications
• Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposes and highlight any issues
• Assess business performance and strive for a deeper understanding of business levers, costs and underlying drivers
• Develop financial models to support strategic initiatives
• Analyze trends in key performance indicators highlighting commercial opportunities and risks
• Translate and disseminate complex financial information to other areas of the business, across exec and senior management
• Support the Tax team by collating resource and project data as part of the annual R&D tax claim
• Produce the R&D reporting, including monthly forecasting, budgeting and variance analysis
