Summary
Join Accela's FP&A team as a Sr. Financial Analyst and contribute to high-caliber financial analysis supporting business partners. Collaborate with colleagues and cross-functional stakeholders, supporting the financial closing process and partnering with the Accounting team. This role requires strong financial modeling and analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and effective communication. The ideal candidate will have experience in a high-tech company, advanced Excel skills, and familiarity with various data visualization tools. Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Business, Finance, or Economics
- 3-5 years of high-tech company experience (SaaS/Cloud model preferred)
- Advanced Excel and experience building sophisticated and detailed financial models
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Adaptive planning, Netsuite, PowerBI or other data visualization tools, MS Powerpoint
- Critical thinker with a demonstrated ability to solve open-ended problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong business partnership and ability to collaborate cross functionally
- Availability during Pacific time zone working hours
Responsibilities
- Analyze financial results, distill and synthesize key trends, assess current and future budget risks, and communicate key insights to leadership
- Support the month-end closing process and provide schedules for monthly accruals and reclasses
- Support functional budget owners by providing high-quality monthly variance analysis and timely ad hoc reporting on critical budget issues
- Build financial models, develop ad hoc financial scenarios, and create analyses that provide relevant and insightful information for decision making
- Track key metrics and performance indicators to evaluate the health of the business
- Drive improvements within existing financial models used by the Finance organization
- Participate in cross-functional efforts to continuously improve data quality and establish rigor in measuring and monitoring the business
Preferred Qualifications
- Data modelling, SQL, or other tools for data analysis
- Software or SaaS company experience strongly preferred
